Lynn Puryear
Founder

Lynn Puryear brings over 25 years of leadership experience from corporate America, where she specialized in building high-performing teams and people-centered products. Her journey into home health care began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she found herself coordinating care for several relatives affected by staffing shortages and inconsistent support. That experience revealed a painful truth: not all care is created equal. Driven by a desire to deliver the kind of care she'd expect for her own loved ones, Lynn founded Africare to offer families reliable, dignified, and culturally sensitive non-medical support.

Ryan Strong
Chief Operating Officer

Ryan brings a remarkable depth of experience and empathy to her leadership at Africare Home Health. Her journey began as a college student, when her mother suffered a massive stroke in 2010 that left her a quadriplegic. From that life-changing moment, Ryan took on the full responsibility of coordinating, and personally providing, her mother’s care. While balancing a full-time corporate job, she gained firsthand insight into the toll inadequate care takes on families. At Africare, Ryan is committed to ensuring no one else has to navigate that journey alone. Her leadership is rooted in compassion, advocacy, and delivering the highest standard of care.
